Very Cool!
Oh hell yeah! that sounded awesome. What size pot was that? Could you do one with a 13" pot?
Nicholas, I make them in all sizes. The one in the picture is 11.5" - Yes, I can make a 13" pot. And you can have any scale length, peghead shape, scoop or no scoop, star or no star, Nylguts or real guts. Write to me if you're interested (free shipping available) at bellbanjos@musician.org
Right on Terry! I like that design. I am currently awaiting a banjo that Jay Moschella is finishing up.
I want to get an assortment from different builders. I want another tackhead and I want a Gourd.
I think I would like to have a tackhead like the one in your picture. Possibly put in an order towards the end of summer. got to save up again.
I like a low-end punch with a crisp-ness just above the low-end...Did that make sense?
I like the wood barrel look and the cut out stars on the side. How do you think a 13" pot with that design sound.
These have a clear and powerful sound. A 13 incher would have a clearer bottom end. The back on these gives them punch and you never have to feel like you gotta beat it, the sound pops out.
That's what I like. I like the very design you have in the picture May want a different head stock, maybe not. What would that run me in $$. I am planning on ordering a Minstrel Tambourine next month.
But will start setting aside funds for the Tackhead.
