Third from the right in the apparently banjo-free orchestra. (This band was X-rated due to excessive "sax & violins")
Circa 1880 - I believe this was an African American troupe.

OK - there is a banjo in the picture. I see there is a soloist up by the elephant's ear. He appears to be having a much better time than the guys in the orchestra, though a small figure to his left looks to be threatening him with a  pistol - wouldn't be the first time! I think the two guys in white shirts and knee-breeches below and to the left are clog dancers (to go along with the solo banjo playing) What a cool and wierd poster.
