thanks ian. i visited a number of original bouchers during the past year or so, and wanted to capture a slightly aged feeling without going full faux-patina (which very rarely works), while also avoiding gleaming new hardware. to that end, i think the 19th-century castings plus very light oxidization works like a charm.
i am not a huge fan of the boucher banjo, but i have to admit that when they look good, they look good.
