Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

Here's another woodpile shot. This is Toronto. The "Atlantic", one of many steamers of about the same size that worked on Lake Erie burned 75 cords of wood on each 18 hour trip between the Niagara River and Detroit. ( in case you were wondering what happened to the lakeside forests in Ontario, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan.)

There ya go. Hauling dat woodpile down off de dock and onto de deck ob dat sidewheeler would require long, hard, repetitive work....something dat a good chantey would make a bit easier, eh?
