Love the ash. What did you make your shoes from?

I tried to bend up a white oak pot last night while I was boiling some maple syrup on the evaporator. Tried to use it as a steam bender and things went well until about the middle of the bend when the oak snapped. Had a dry spot there it seems. Looks like i might be heading to Rockler Hardware for a new steam generator 8-)

Hello Brian. Ash is hard, it's heavier than oak and took some violent steaming. I made the metal parts from steel, the brackets were made in Terry's old fashioned bracket former gizmo, somewhere aroung 18 gauge I'm guessing.
