I’m considering getting a Bell Sweeney kit. What did you finish it with? Oil? Wax?

My dad has built 3-4 kits for me, because he's retired and has the time. After the stain, he'd polyurethane it. Thin, thin coats, 2-3 coats. Should protect it well, and not dull the tone due to the thin coats vs thick coating...

BTW, I really like my Bell Stichter!! Plays well, good tone, and really holds tune day to day, supposing temp and humidity are fairly consistent...

Lately I oil, shellac then wax on my banjo builds.
