If Bruno owners are outing themselves, I'm happy to step up to the plate. (talk about your mixed metaphors!)

I've got a "Peerless" I've had and loved since the late 70s. It's on a couple of videos posted here. "Union Jig" for one.

Ian, my boy has a bunch of open backs, tenors, banjolele and stuff. One of those is a Bruno too. There must be something about Bells and Brunos, eh?

My old Bruno saw many barfights and streetcorners. I loved it. I purposely played the oldest music I knew on it - this was before my minstrel discovery. One day in a park standing on a stage in front of a pretty river, in front of a couple hundred people   - POW !!!  The calfskin went. Back then I didn't know what to do, even Elderly's then didn't have a plastic one to fit it. It was a weird size. So I drove to Elderly's and traded it in on a standup bass.
