    Hi Tom,

I liked your Hard Times/Jordan. You are making a really good start, take your time and articulate the notes.

Are you new to banjo altogether? I started straight in on a fretless banjo, and I'm curious about other people starting that way as well.

Yea, you've really got a good position. You are way ahead of me when I started...I was totally messed up. I never saw anybody do it, so I ended up with some habits that took a long winter of work to undo. Spend stime with the Converse combinations. They are a great help, and pick up where the Briggs' leaves off.

Hey, thank you very much. It is banjo #3, and the only one of the three that I have left. I had a 16" head, boucher style that a good friend of mine wanted before I had it finished. I told him I still want to get some pics of it.
I'll try to get something on video...I'll have to get my wife to help; I'm not too techy.

The head is calfskin; it's just a very translucent head. I'm waiting to expend some Gamut strings on it and replace the nylgut...should give it even more deep pop. Thanks again.
