NylgutSet

I opened a package of nylgut strings and found them color coded but no info to match the colors with the string. Should I assume that the order they were in is how I know? Yellow was first and next to a wound (white) string. Thus I assume the white wound string is 'G' and the yellow one the short 'D' (fifth string). Then comes green, black, and red which I assume are 'D', 'F#', and 'A'. Is my assumption correct? Not sure what would happen if they fell out of the package when it was opened.
