Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

This song, arranged for banjo and voice in Phil. Rice's Correct Method for the Banjo, can also be found in the same book arranged for solo banjo, entitled "Where's dat n-----." Attached is another version, with some interesting lyrics, including "India Rubber Overcoat."

Hey that sounds good. I did it a few weeks ago as "Bryant's Jig", except I did it really slow. Makes me wonder why I did that...yuk.
Nice job on the other two also.
I've been playing Bryant's jig for a while. The Where's dat N___ title gave me an idea from having children. When you call out to them you start quietly, and then get louder when they don't answer. I tried this same thing with the jig. There is a repeat on the first part, so you are playing the same theme 4 times. I start really quietly. On the third time through I start to crescendo, into a fortissimo on part B. This adds a nice dynamic to the piece.

I liked your combination of the different pieces. The whole thing is very well played.
