For months now, Converse's Antietam Jig has given me that nagging sensation of seeming vaguely familiar.  I finally just realized that the melody in the 'A' part bears a pretty strong resemblance to the main hook of the theme from Leave it To Beaver.

The 'B' part of the Leave it to Beaver theme is entirely different, but I think it would actually sound pretty darn good arranged for early banjo.

Good tune-sleuthing. Perhaps you haven't seen the excellent Tim Twiss opus called "Leave it To Minstrels" - archived in the video section here. Worth a look!
