Fred Mather and the banjo.

Here's a little blurb about a banjo Fred Mather made in 1860, also some interesting Bouchers, too, which I assume are still in the Smithsonian.

I believe Bob Flesher owns a Fred Mather banjo, I wonder if it is of the type in the Smithsonian?
