trebles are what I use. Lyon is too tightly wound to sound good. They are really for much larger instruments. The same with Pistoy. Diapason are for very long instruments like arch lutes and harp sized strings, they would be greatly dampening at our vibrating length.

Beef is actually very good. Due to the larger size of the animal, the walls of the gut are more fibrous and are stronger. I have heard them played and they are nice and bright. They should least well and allow higher tunings at the longer scale lengths. They should also last a bit longer.

Well, I wish I'd have been in a financial position to allow me to order one of your banjos. They are truly beautiful. Who knows...maybe by the time I can afford it, I'll come up with an intriguing enough idea to entice you!! Good luck to you in your new building pursuits!

George, That's really the end of an era for all of us. I've had two Wunderlich's in my "banjo lifetime," and enjoyed them very much. I'm grateful to you for your support and your good guidance during the lifespan of Little Bear Banjo Hospital in Arlington. You were always very encouraging. You do good work. Play hard,
