Have we discussed this photo?  I never can remember.  It's a way cool picture--Black soldiers, in Canada hats, I believe, and a smart looking Boucher banjo.

Wow Carl. I don't believe I've seen this photo before. What do you know about it?

I agree with your Boucher assessment! It looks like an ornate double ogee on the neck with his hand covering a lateral flat violin style peghead. The bridge also appears to be placed above center. Very cool indeed!
