I have a historic site that is interested in hosting an Early Banjo Gathering. I don't want to say where yet, but I need to start talking dates with the site coordinator. I would like a consensus from people as to when would be a good time. This looks really promising.

What's a realistic window in terms of 1) Having time to organize and 2 ) Giving people enough lead time to get it on their calendars? Given that we're talking about a barn, that presumably limits the window to summer-ish months.
Depending on the location, it would probably make sense to not put it too close to the Sweeney Convergence which I think usually falls around the first weekend of September.
For my part, I really like the end of June; the late evening sunsets were always such a nice part of the Antietam gathering.
