Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

Antietam Early Banjo Gathering-VI (June 21-23, 2013)

Dear Friends,

We are excited to announce that the Antietam Early Banjo Gathering-VI organizing committee met recently and we are now moving forward with active planning for the June 21-23, 2013 Early American Banjo Conference. We would like to invite those who are interested in doing a formal presentation to submit a paper proposal to speak at this year’s conference. The deadline for submitting papers will be March 31, 2013. Please forward proposals to pryprograms@civilwarmed.org.

AEBG-VI will take place at the Pry House Field Hospital Museum, Antietam National Battlefield, 18906 Shepherdstown Pike, Keedysville, Maryland. Registration for the event is $60 per person and includes morning breakfasts (Saturday and Sunday), Saturday lunch, and daily snacks.

Also, with all of the growing interest in the antebellum, early minstrel, and Civil War era banjo, we want to make sure that we provide plenty of structured mentoring sessions. As with last year's event, the tentative Itinerary (which is subject to change) will include:

That sounds great.  We're going to do our best to make it out there this year.  I just booked a room for the weekend in Shepherdstown.

REALLY hoping to make it this year!

Sorry that I may have missed it.  Is there a registration form that I need to complete/submit?

The registration form is forthcoming. Kyle just about has it together and we'll post it!
