An afternoon of gourd banjo and minstrel banjo playing for an informal fun time. Fiddles, bones, etc..
The Michigan Festival of Gourds AND Wood Carvers are teaming up to have a big event full of gourd and wood art and fun. Lots of stuff to do, see, and buy. We'll play in the afternoon on Saturday in an informal setting for the public. When you get there, ask for Deb, the organizer, to help you find our playing area. ALSO, if you want a GREAT gourd for your next banjo project, ask her because she is setting aside a pile of 11 and 12 inch beauties!! These are not for sale to the public, but for us. I checked them all out, they're thick and big. For pay, we'll split the tips. A very cool event for a very appreciative crowd.
Attended on Friday. Lots of different gourd musical instruments.
Walked around, played gourd banjo in informal settings.
Great woodcarving displays by Michigan Wood Carvers Association
