Carl,  Chances are you already are aware of this one.

I'm tend to seek out parodies to popular songs which are reflective of issues of the day.

In spite of the distastefulness of some of them (in this case a political party based upon anti-immigrant/ anti-Catholic fears), I always find them interesting.

Few Days (1854)

As Know Nothings, we’re hand-in-hand, few days, few days

Our countless throng shall fill the land, we know the way

The world will know that we are true, few days, few days

And that we know a thing or two, we know the way

[Chorus]

We’ll battle innovation, few days, few days.

And fight ‘gainst usurpation by a cunning foe

For our guide is freedom’s banner, few days, few days.

Our guide is freedom’s banner. We know the way

From east and west, from south and north…. We’ll call our many legions forth…

The freedom that our fathers won…. Shall be defended by each son….

Then shout, then shout o’er hill and plain…. Our union shall its rights maintain….

We’ll guard, we’ll guard the ballot-box….. From foreign wiles and treason shocks….

Hello everyone, is there a banjo score for this song?
Comment by Sonny Bryan on April 29, 2017 at 7:25pm
Anthony, use the "search" on this site. Tim, posted the score from Winner's 1864.
