Sounds like some of this was also borrowed for the U.S. Navy lament "Farwell to Grog"?

Have a feeling ( mind you I could be wrong ) that this was just a little while before " Farewell to Grog "

Oops, it was late at night and I meant to say it appeared that some of the basic melody for "Farwell to Grog", written in 1862 may have been borrowed(with obvious tempo changes) from the Cornish piece. http://www.contemplator.com/history/grog.html
