Would love to be there, Tim, but like Sylvia I'm in the UK and it's a bit far to travel. Maybe you could upload a video or two after the event for those of us 'across the pond' - and make us green with envy?

As much as I would love to attend, it's a pretty long haul from South Louisiana, and the $$ this year is all going toward my son's wedding in November and my first grandchild's birth coming in October (it's my daughter having the baby...she got married last summer!). Anyway, keep it going, and hopefully I'll be able to make a vacation out of it one year!

Oh WOW...banjos and battlefields!!  Sounds like a perfect weekend.  That's a long trip on such short notice, but I'm going to talk about it with the War Department and see if she'll agree to cut travel orders.  Even if I don't get there I'll look forward to a bunch of YouTube videos.

My car is old and unreliable, I'm old and unreliable, my daughter's having a baby, my son is bankrupting me with college tuition, and it's a day's drive to get there, almost all of it over the mountains, but I'm coming anyway.  So I don't want anymore lame excuses, like you live on another continent or something.  Rob Morrison.

Hear, hear Rob!!  When the going gets tough, the tough saddle up and git to the Antietam Early Banjo Gathering.

Have a lovely time when you get there Rob, if it were possible for me to drive there even if it took a day to do it I would give it a go, and I think I would prefer mountain driving to the UK motorways    : )

i have told myself that i can/will only attend if i finish the boucher double-tension that im working on beforehand. this is a good way to motivate me to do both. as an aside, if anyone is planning on going from the new england/boston area, i could drive. if i finish my banjo in time.

Jay, I really hope you show up. I really like your work and only know you thru the "net". This place really helps complete various connections with folks.

Jay, Jim Dalton told me he was looking for a ride.
