Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

The Grapevine Twist found in Kerr's Merry Melodies for The Violin #2 - Glasgow, 1885-ish. Similar to the version in Ryan's Mammoth Collection. With a few spontaneous variations.

I like your playing a lot, Ian. Very melodic, with good rhythm.

I agree with Rob. Very tuneful and the rhythm is nice and solid. Good balance. Great playing!

Kick ass.  We should all jam on this one at our little shindig in June.  Everybody got access to the notes?  Ear-method will work too, Ian plays it good and clean.

Ian, this is AWESOME.

Like Carl, I would love a copy of the sheet music for this tune if at all possible.

Didn't leave room for this in the previous post. Here you go - One of five pages (35 tunes)  in a section called "Negro Sand Jigs, Plantation Dances and Walk Rounds" Nestled in with the Scottish reels, strathspeys, hornpipes and Irish jigs!
