This is a banjo I've been working on for the past month or so.  Dave Kirchner made the frets.

I just found about more about the banjo I just restored.  There is an almost identical one on the Bernunzio site with identical marquetry and an identical neck and headstock.  The Bernunzio instrument however has a Teed tension mechanism and a resonator.  Both are unmarked.  My guess is they were both made in the same factory (probably Buckbee) and that mine was made out of left over or spare parts. It's a mutt, but what a beautiful mutt.
