Great performance! Great old tune too - I instantly had to try it myself. Do you have the bottom string tuned up? A lot of the Irish players and some of the old-time Canadian crowd play that up here. It's sometimes called "Warm Stuff".

I know this as "Stony Point"...evidently has a lot of names (according to the fiddler's companion site).

Ian, you are correct, this is minstrel "high bass" tuning, AF#DAd.

The millisecond of lag on the video made it hard to tell exactly when your fingers were arriving on different notes.
