Are you enjoying the horizontal peg? I bet it makes a difference....not tucking your thumb under when cruising up and down the neck.

That's a curious little number. I often wonder where the tunes like that in the old books came from. It seems to be somewhere between a march and a clog hornpipe. I get the sense (from the fingering) that it was actually put together on the banjo. I wonder if it was something G. Swain Buckley (or someone like him) put together specifically for a dance routine with one of his hoofers. Or maybe it was just whipped up to fill half a page in a banjo tutor! ...whatever - I think I'll give it a try.

Part of it is similar to Hear Him Johnny Hear Him (by James Buckley) in the Rice book, without the dotted notes.
