Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

I was fooling around with Garageband this evening and was having a bit of fun with this one. I thought this might make a sweet little banjo tune, but I haven't tried it yet. Mr. Kimmel played faster with a lot of ornamentation.

Nice Wes.  Do you have a score for this?

KIMMEL! KIMMEL!! He's my man.... I play a few of his tunes on the accordion. (They take SOME learning) Some of his minor key tunes sound just like the kinds of things you find the Buckley repertoire. There's one called American Cakewalk that I always thought someone should take a run at on the banjo. Maybe somebody better than me though)

Yes, Kimmel is brilliant. Have you listened to much of Alexander Prince? Another flavor of squeezebox playing. http://raretunes.org/performers/alexander-prince
