Like that Mark! Great ballad: What is the source? I guess to the young soldiers of the war, John Mosby was considered old at 29 in 1862.

Hi, Sonny!

Source is Frank Bode from Surry County, North Carolina, who just died earlier this year. "Old" was often used as a term of affection rather than to describe age. They also called Sweeny "Old Joe Sweeny" while he was only in his early thirties! BTW, are you coming this year to the Convergence in September?

Hey Mark, I am planning on coming to the Sweeny Confergence. It was a very memorable experience last year. Period camping still ok?

Or, any chance of sleeping in that empty park house where we jammed?

Paul, you will need to get in touch with David Wooldridge at the Park, as he is the one who can answer those types of queries.
