Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

One of the haunting melodies I harvested on my trip to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. This song was played in the old furnace chamber at Fayette.

Yes it is. I wrote a whole series (suite) when I was up there.

It's beautiful. I thought I'd heard it before - it's on your gourd banjo music cd. and tab book.

Thanks. I like it best on gourd, but this was when it was really fresh.

Yes, there are several of Tim's original tunes in his Gourd Banjo book/CD.  Well worth having the set.   :)   "Copper" is my favorite among them.
