Actually, I think I might have originated the Aspirin bottle.  Paul?

If there is another AEBG, Paul and I might give a workshop.  ;)

Haha yes Al you were my inspiration... I haven't mastered the technique enough to offer a workshop haha

I have to confess, though, that my Aspirin bottle is about half filled with brown rice.

There is also a reference to tongs in Shakespeare's "Midsummer Night's Dream"

Would you like to hear some music, my sweet love?

I have a reasonable good ear in music. Let’s have the tongs and the bones.

Hi Al, what is the source of the drawing with the musician playing the fire tongs?  I gather from what you said it is a section of drawing depicting a minstrel show?  Can you post the entire drawing, or a link to it?  Very interesting!

Tom, it's from the cover sheet I previously posted.

I found it via Google images by typing "Minstrel Music" ("Minstrel", alone, didn't find it)

When I clicked on "Visit", to visit the source page, I got this....

BTW, I have seen quite a few print examples of triangles being played in minstrel lines.
