For enthusiasts of early banjo
Among the more interesting sheet music covers I've seen...
The banjo in this has a sound hole as though it were made of wood. I see this in many pictures. It leads me to believe that the illustrator had no idea what a banjo was supposed to look like...
There's an extra Buckley in there. Maybe they had a "mini me'
Plus, people often look like they're punching the tambourine in these old prints and photos. Makes me think the skins might have been pretty heavy.
Ahahahaha I almost didn't see the mini Buckley. My bell tambo can take a punch.
We re-made our Bell banjo. We changed out the chimes to some antique ones, and had to replace the head. We used a standard banjo goat skin head, and it works well. We do punch the tambo when we play it, punching makes sense when you are dealing with a larger minstrel style tambourine.
I think the small fiddler is supposed to be Japanese Tommy.
