Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

Built in the early 1800s. They lived upstairs and the livestock lived downstairs. The lower part was still in use by the cows when I was a child. This and the great house are constructed from local stone. The house walls are 2 and a half feet thick. There were "gun ports" on the top floor of the house and an escape tunnel running from the root cellar to a hill side exit. All in fear of an Indian attack that never came.
