By the way....check out Jim Along Josey in the Glee Book.

It also follows the melodic contour abd rubato phrasing of the Levy copy.

I just can't anybody to bite on this discussion....not sure why. Why do people sing it the way they do? Just copying Briggs? That seems backwards.

 

Just copying Bob Flesher, I imagine.  I know I have my way of doing it (influenced by him) and it's hard to change.  Your work on this is invaluable- I promise I'll work on it.
