I played a used one at a shop a few years ago--it was my first experience with a fretless banjo; I found it suprisingly easy to play, and the tone was very pleasant--it was kind of a 'eureka' moment for me. I really wanted to buy it, but had bought another banjo just a few weeks earlier, so it was out of the question.
