Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

I heard an interesting discussion on NPR the other day.  There was a study that found that we tend to associate lower-pitch notes with darker colors and higher-pitch notes with lighter colors.  They tested people with signs accompanied by the same music of different pitches and found that they tended to read the darker (otherwise identical) sign when accompanied by lower-pitch music and vice versa.  They also used a grocery store setting and set up two shelves of bananas.  When the (otherwise identical) higher-pitch music was played, they tended to take bananas from the lighter colored shelves and vice versa.  Not sure how this might relate to our discussions.  Just thought it was interesting!
