Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

So excited, the final list has come down from our label Nonesuch, and there's gonna be THREE minstrel era tunes on the new Carolina Chocolate Drop record!  Our arrangement of Brigg's Cornshucking Jig/Camptown Hornpipe (unfortunately recorded before I started playing them on my gourd banjo, so it's on a modern deering banjo), with two sets of double handed bones and tamborine, and a Negro Jig from the Kerr's book, that is solo gourd banjo.  Yay!  Just thought i'd share!
