Minstrel Banjo

For enthusiasts of early banjo

All the early books claim to be "tutorials" but they lack any sense of logical progression. You get a lot of theory, and them the book leaps from easy to difficult with no sense of direction. Earlier this year, I wrote a series of 10 Etudes for Stroke Banjo. I'll put up some videos where I break them down and talk about them. I hope you try them and relate the benefits to the early repertoire. Feel free to discuss here, or private message me. The first one is much like Juba.

They all progress and cover the things needed to play the cool pieces with confidence.

You can get them on site here, or at timtwiss.com.
