And - unlike Lady Gaga they didn't have to emerge from an egg onstage to do it!

I hope you & Bob are mildly chuffed - having provided them with the title track of the CD.

Im glad they won, I have this CD and  enjoy it. Mainly the  Piedmont stuff though

Finally, real music gets an award!!

If anyone's interested, the CCDs are going to be in Harrisburg, PA on March 4th at the Appalachian Brewing Company.  My wife & I have tickets and will be there!!

Jeff--if they are taking requests, ask Rhiannon to play some of the early banjo tunes she's been working on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_ky0FpuhsA
Greg-That you tube video is very cool.  Thanks for including it!!

Great video Greg! Thanks for posting

That cool behind-the-scenes video shows Dom Flemons preparing for a performance backstage at the Sheldon Concert Hall in Saint Louis.

For you bones aficionados who might be watching...I think Dom is rattling a pair of natural cow rib bones in his left hand and wooden bones in his right. The other guy is rattlin' a set of vintage ebony minstrel style bones reportedly owned by a veteran of the Battle of Gettysburg. At the end you can hear Rhiannon (who's playing banjo just off-camera) tell them, "Do it just like that!"

Greg:

My wife & I went to see CDC on March 4th in Harrisburg, PA.  They were terrific, but they lost one of their members, Justin Robinson, who went back to grad school.  They have two new members, who are very good at what they do, but they did not have all their repertoire figured out yet with the new membeership.

Still a great concert and well worth standing to hear them.
